Gaius Carter Takes Title at Redding Western Classic/NFAA 3D Championship

Redding, California- The Western Classic is the world’s largest marked 3-D archery competition, drawing archers of all skill levels from around the world looking to compete in the tournament that has been dubbed “the go-to shoot” of the year. Archers from across the globe made the trek to Redding for the 38th annual event, taking on the challenge of the three-day competition on a 70-target course. The course runs over varied terrain with distances ranging from 3 yards to the famed Bigfoot target at 101 yards.

With hundreds of competitors vying to win the event, it was Easton shooter Gaius Carter of Arizona who used X10 ProTour arrows to take the premiere Open Championship title against a stellar field of top compound competitors. Louis Price and Christopher Perkins completed the podium sweep for Team Easton, finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Linda Ochoa-Anderson also used X10 ProTours to earn a second-place finish in the hotly contested Women’s Championship Division.

Easton X10 and X10 ProTour shafts feature greater ballistic density and superior performance for the challenging, often windy conditions at Redding. The X10 is the premier shaft for outdoor competition where they have been used to set every world record.
