S3DA Partners With Delta McKenzie For Spring Turkey Contest

Williamsburg, KY – Scholastic 3D Archery invites and encourages members to participate in the 2022 S3DA Spring Turkey Harvest Contest sponsored by Delta McKenzie. The contest consists of ACTIVE S3DA members submitting information about their hunting experience, equipment used for the hunt and a picture with their harvest. Delta McKenzie sponsors the contest by providing two (2) Little Stutter 3-D targets to two (2) lucky winners awarded by random drawing! S3DA members are encouraged to submit information regarding their turkey hunt via the link here. The contest will end on May 31st, 2022.

S3DA is committed to instilling in students the critical connection between hunting and conservation. The driving force behind the growth of the program has been derived from many different facets, including the R3 program, Fish & Wildlife agencies, along with the Department of Natural Resources agencies, partners, sponsors and interested parties across the nation. S3DA encourages members to participate in other disciplines of outdoor programs, such as: bowfishing, rifle shooting, shotgun activities, etc., with the skills and knowledge to partake in a safe and effective way.

“Usually, a love for turkey hunting is passed from parent to child, but it is amazing to see the roles reversed in a lot of the hunting stories that have been submitted so far. Even if the hunt does not end with a successful harvest, we encourage members to submit their stories because sometimes just being outdoors and breathing in the fresh air and making memories with loved ones is a story in itself,” stated S3DA National Conservation Coordinator, Robert Dunaway.

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3-D, indoor target and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers.
