FPC Statement on New Jersey Governor’s Signing of Gun Control Package

Trenton, NJ (July 05, 2022) — Firearms Policy Coalition issued the following statement in response to Governor Murphy’s gun control package bill signing ceremony:

After repeatedly failing in previous legislative sessions, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed his long-awaited anti-rights legislative package into law today. Unfortunately, the current state legislature gave up on reigning in the Governor’s misplaced priorities and full-throatedly endorsed his rights-destroying goals. They are accomplices in this tragic abuse of fundamental rights.

By inking his name to seven onerous bills (A1302, A1765, A4368, A4370, S1204, S2846, and S2905), Murphy has doomed his constituents to the threat of having their lives upturned and locked in government cages for the mere exercise of their inalienable rights.

To the peaceable people of New Jersey, who have for years been victimized by those representing them in Trenton: FPC sees you. The elites of the state of New Jersey should enjoy their day of celebration while it lasts. To that end, FPC will utilize every available instrument to remedy these abominable wrongs. FPC encourages anyone who would like to participate as a plaintiff in litigation targeting these newly signed bills to visit 2Ahotline.com.
