Ruger Sponsors Upcoming IHEA-USA Conference

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. has stepped up as a silver sponsor of the IHEA-USA 2022 Conference and is offering IHEA-USA instructors discounts on its products in appreciation for their commitment to teaching safe hunting and firearm ownership.

Paul Pluff of the Ruger Marketing Team stated, “Ruger’s advocacy of Hunter Education is something we’ve taken great pride in. We are honored to not only sponsor the conference but also to offer discounts to IHEA-USA Hunter Educators for their commitment of time and talent to teach safe hunting. We are also grateful to play a meaningful role in the Virtual Conference this year.”

Alex Baer, Executive Director of the IHEA-USA, states, “Ruger’s sponsorship, instructor discount offer, and generous donation of firearms for our organization allows us to continue delivering benefits to our much-valued volunteer instructors. We can offer free attendance to the virtual conference thanks to partnerships like this and continue to give our membership unique discounts on products that they can use in the classroom and at the range.”

This year’s conference is May 17-19 and features keynote speaker Steven Rinella. It promises educational sessions on the latest trends in Hunter Education teaching since Covid, the IHEA-USA’s new continued education platform LearnHunting.org, and national online firearms safety courses, Firearms Fundamentals. The 2022 virtual conference also opens the doors to allow nearly 50,000 individual volunteer Hunter Education Instructors to attend the conference for free when in the past, travel and the cost of missed time away from jobs were prohibitive to attending.
