S3DA 2020 3-D National Championship

Williamsburg, KY – The Scholastic 3-D Archery program (S3DA) is pleased to announce the S3DA 2020 3-D National Championship will be conducted July 23rd-26th in London, Kentucky at the Laurel County Fairgrounds. London and Laurel County have welcomed our event with open arms, and everyone is working diligently to make this the most amazing event ever for our S3DA members. London is a site that is all too familiar to many archers, as the Archery Shooters Association (ASA) has held an event on the fairgrounds for many years.

S3DA will offer some fun bonus events that include: a (20) target 3-D practice range, North American Big Game Bowhunting Challenge with incredible, life-like targets such as elk, caribou, and big-horn sheep and a Long-Shot Challenge sure to challenge the sharpest eyes.

Vendors will be on-site to sell their products and equipment to the thousands of S3DA archers, families, and spectators in attendance as well as food vendors and more. New for 2020, S3DA will be offering on-site purchases for a once in a lifetime raffle basket(s) from S3DA sponsoring organizations and companies that have been instrumental in assisting with the growth of the S3DA program from the local to the national level. Attendees of the event will be able to purchase as many chances as they would like thru the S3DA website or by registration at the booth on-site.

This event was originally scheduled to take place at a new venue in Rend Lake, Illinois. However, due to circumstances caused by the global pandemic it was moved to London, KY for 2020 but will resume the original venue determination in Rend Lake for 2021. Vendors interested in booth space for the 2020 S3DA National Championship can contact Amanda Long, S3DA Program & Event Support Coordinator at (606) 524-3685 for more information.

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA™) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3-D, indoor target and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA™ program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA™ students participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Students can participate at local, regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA™ addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
