Personal Defense TV Shows Close Quarters Tactics

Most deadly encounters occur close up. Join Tom this week with Gunsite's Chris Weare to demonstrate the two main things they teach students in their close quarters class, and how to handle a situation if those fail. Chris also shows fighting effectively from the ground and literally at "bad breath" range. Flashlights are serious survival tools, so Dick Metcalf teams up with First-Light, USA to highlight a new "hands-free" flashlight that picks up where the 100-year old tube light design leaves off. Fights are stressful so this week Massad Ayoob shares some simple exercises people can do to use up the oxygen in their blood if hyperventilating, and how to shake off the pre- or post-fight trembles. Expanding on "get down or get hit" from Episode 3, Clint Smith shows viewers this week how to get into the prone position including rifle, spine and leg positioning.
