June 6, 2008 Beretta Team Shooter Diane Sorantino Wins 2008 Masters Cup
ACCOKEEK, MARYLAND - Beretta USA is pleased to announce Beretta Team Shooter Diane Sorantino won the top honors at the 2008 Masters Cup held at M & M Sporting Clays in Pennsville, New Jersey. An NSCA Team USA Sporting & F.I.T.A.S.C. Qualifier, the Masters Cup is considered to be one of the most prestigious shoots of the year.
The Ladies division was tightly contested by the best female shooters from across the country, but when all the scores were tallied on Sunday, Sorantino's 176/200 stood alone atop the leader board. In 2007, Sorantino won the World F.I.T.A.S.C. Championship held in Czech Republic, as well as the NSCA National Championship in San Antonio, TX. Sorantino continues to capture titles with her Beretta Teknys Gold Sporting Semiautomatic. Shooting since the young age of ten, Sorantino has been on the competition circuit with her Beretta since the early 90's. In 2006 she was inducted into the National Sporting Clays Association Hall of Fame. She has also captured almost every National and World Title in the disciplines of English Sporting and F.I.T.A.S.C. in her competitive shooting career. Sorantino currently resides in Cape May, NJ, where she proudly serves as the Chief of Police.
