FORT BENNING, GEORGIA - For military competitive shooters, there'll be more than plaques and marksmanship badges on the line at the 49th annual Interservice Pistol Championships - there's also bragging rights.

The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit will host the 49th annual Interservice Pistol Championship Matches June 6 to 13 at Phillips and Parks ranges. Any member of the Armed Services - active duty, Reserve, National Guard and cadets - are invited to participate. The National Rifle Association Warm-Up matches June 7 and 8 will be open to military and civilian.

Awards will be presented to winners and second- and third-place finishers in all individual and team matches.

June 6
* 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Ranges available for open practice
* 1 to 4:30 p.m. - Military registration at Match Headquarters,
Building 1615, Phillips Range
* 5 to 6 p.m. - Team Captains Meeting and Barbecue, Philips Range

June 7
* 7 to 8 a.m. - Civilian registration at Match Headquarters
* 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. - NRA Warm-Up .22-Caliber and Center Fire
