Oregon S3DA 3-D State Championship

Williamsburg, KY – Cascadian Bowmen hosted the 2018 Oregon S3DA 3-D State Championship in Noti, Oregon. Approximately, 31 archers from 4 different clubs participated in this event. The adults wanted in on the action with the kids, so Oregon decided to have a guest column and let the adults shoot for fun along with the kids.

Oregon S3DA State Coordinator Miranda Leek stated, “The 2018 Oregon S3DA State 3-D Championship was a wonderful success, thanks to the many people who came together to pull it off and to all the families who traveled to compete. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife brought S3DA into the state to provide fun, educational archery opportunities for families across Oregon, and we certainly achieved that purpose at this competition.”

Oregon S3DA would like to send a special thanks to Cascadian Bowmen for being amazing hosts. Thank you to Benton Bowmen S3DA for stepping up and volunteering the manpower to make this a successful event. Oregon is one of the many western states that is looking to explode with S3DA archers. Miranda said that she is hearing many requests for more S3DA opportunities on the west coast, including college/university participation and/or hunting opportunities similar to what QDMA provides. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is working to get more involved as well.
