G4S International Training Inc. - Texas Campus to Host Advanced Sniper Course
DILLEY, TX (August 2012) - G4S International Training, Inc. (ITI) a subsidiary of G4S Government Solutions, and providers of benchmark security training programs to the U.S. Government, U.S. Military and corporate America, will be hosting an Advanced Sniper Course at its Texas Campus September 10th - 14th, 2012. Designed to enhance and sharpen the skills learned in the Basic Sniper Course, the student will be introduced to several advanced techniques needed to master this critical area of responsibility.
This course covers advanced tactical applications of cover and concealment, camouflage, individual movement and stalking. Rural and urban hide construction, enhanced marksmanship techniques to include moving targets, range estimation and unknown distance range firing from 200 yards to 1,200 yards.
Students will take part in exercises, which will require coordinated fire on multiple targets and angle shooting.
Live - 500 (match grade)
Basic Sniper Course (No Exceptions).
Sniper rifle system, non-Magnum calibers only, .308 recommended, Mildot reticle and target turret or BDC style scope.
20x (minimum) spotting scope.
Rucksack or 3 day assault pack.
At least 2 sets of military Battle Dress Uniforms and a Jungle hat or Patrol Cap.
Two sets Combat type boots (Jungle, Combat, Israeli).
Minimum of 2- one quart canteens and 1- two quart canteen or 2- one quart canteens and a Camelback Hydration system.
Small First Aid Kit.
Military Poncho and Poncho Liner.
Two pads of paper and two pencils and pens.
Military Flashlight with Red lenses.
Civilian clothing and toilet articles.
Camp / survival saw.
Camouflage face paints, stick or compacts.
100' 550 cord.
1 roll of 100mph tape, green.
Sand sock for rear rifle rest.
3 camouflaged arrows or 3/8" wood dowels 36" long or full size camera tripod.
Snipers log book with nylon cover.
500 rounds of match grade rifle ammo per week of training.
Serviceable handgun, holster and 500 rounds of handgun ammo for Sniper II course.
Calculator and Mildot Master.
Cleaning equipment for both the Sniper System and Handgun.
MRE meals as needed.
A POSITIVE AND MOTIVATED MENTAL ATTITUDE.
Please note, it is recommended that Advanced Sniper students attend in teams of two whenever possible.

About the Instructor: Ed Bohman:
Ed Bohman has operational experience in Baghdad, Iraq and Kabul, Afghanistan, first as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant and then as a Department of State Designated Defensive Marksman. He has extensive training in a multitude of Special Operations tactics and techniques. Bohman has trained hundreds of foreign soldiers, as well as U.S. Forces, in marksmanship training programs throughout his career. He has developed training programs for various foreign weapons systems. He is an expert in U.S. Military and foreign weapons systems. Most recently, Bohman was a member of the U.S. Embassy Kabul Security Force providing diplomatic security for U.S. Department of State Dignitaries. Bohman is a professional gunsmith and is an expert ballistician.
About the Instructor: Rodney Ryan:
Rodney Ryan has spent more than 20 years combined, active and reserve, in the U.S. Military, where he served as an operator and then NCOIC of all sniper elements at the Brigade Level in a Light Infantry Division. While employed as a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington, D.C., he served in patrol, training and SWAT assignments. Ryan's training and operational experience spans the full spectrum of special operations. As an instructor with the U.S. State Department ATAP (Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program) and as a civilian consultant, he has trained thousands of law enforcement, military and private special operations personnel, both in the United States and overseas. Through extensive research, he has developed tactical team, hostage rescue and linear clearing concepts, which combine the best of United States and Foreign techniques. Ryan has also assisted in the planning of, and participated in, the VIP protection details of several Presidents of the United States and Foreign Heads of State.
Ryan is a certified Firearms Instructor with the FBI and US DoS and a certified DDM (Sniper) Instructor with the US DoS. Most recently, Ryan and his staff have participated in high threat VIP security details for over 200 U.S. celebrities while traveling in St. Petersburg, Russia and detailed security planning for DOD personnel traveling into the current war zone. In addition to his duties at Storm Mountain Training Center, Ryan is an instructor with the Potomac State College of the West Virginia University. His areas of instruction are Law Enforcement Basic and Advanced Firearms.
