Seminole County, FL - SAFE of Florida, Inc., a non-profit located in Winter Park, Florida is building a new Scholastic Marksmanship Academy to serve the public of Central Florida. This new facility, located in Seminole County, will include a classroom and indoor training ranges for air-powered bb & pellet guns, along with small-bore firearms.

SAFE is an all-volunteer organization made up of certified firearms instructors, with the capabilities of teaching a wide variety of personal safety (non-firearms classes) and firearms classes, including pistol, rifle, hunting safety and marksmanship. The organization is committed to teaching and reinforcing life skills such as goal setting, responsibility, self-reliance through it's youth outreach programs and shooting sports programs.

The main focus is on youth outreach programs and organized youth participation teams and events. Beginner through advanced marksmanship programs are offered, with group programs coordinated through local chapters of JROTC, 4 H, Sea Cadets and others community groups & clubs.

Construction of the facility is underway using many local volunteers, professionals and retailers supporting the building efforts, in hopes that the facility can open early this fall. Any additional help, donations and sponsors are always welcomed.
