Overland Park, Kan.- Bushnell Outdoor Products, an industry leader in sports optics and outdoor accessories for more than 60 years, has announced the hiring of Mitch Cooper as an assistant product manager in the riflescope division.

As assistant product manager, Cooper will be involved in product management and new product development on riflescope lines marketed under the Bushnell, Millett, Simmons and Tasco brands.

Cooper brings a strong background in product management to Bushnell. His previous experience includes a product management role with Coleman Company in Wichita, Kan., where he managed the Stearns Flotation product line. Most recently, he was a product manager with Pacific Cycle in Madison, Wis., managing parts and accessories for Mongoose and Iron Horse bikes.

"Mitch's experience in product management and development, along with his passion for the outdoors make him a strong addition to the Bushnell team," said Jordan Vermillion, Bushnell sports optics and outdoor accessories product director.

Cooper is a Kansas native and holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and golf.
