SHACKLEFORDS, VA (September 2012) - Team International Training, Inc. (ITI) members had a strong showing this past weekend at the 2012 IDPA National Championship, held at The Range in Oxford, North Carolina September 19th - 22nd, 2012. Team Captain Brandon Wright finished 1st ESP Division Master, 2rd Overall ESP Division and 4th Overall for the match. Teammate Gary Byerly took home 1st CDP Master with a 266.17 match score. "The 2012 IDPA National Championship was one of the most challenging matches to date. Frank Glover and his Carolina crew, at The Range, did a bang up job in hosting this event," remarked Wright. "Each stage made you work for every zero down and each second spent trying to aim. I can honestly say that none of the stages were "gimme's." That's how a national championship should be. Congratulations to all the division winners and crowned National Champions. "The 2012 IDPA Nationals was by far the most technical match I have shot all year. Lots of prop manipulations, alternative shooting positions and tight shots made this the most challenging Nationals I've shot," commented Byerly. "Staying dialed in mentally was crucial here. Another great job by Frank Glover and his outstanding staff. The match ran very smoothly and problem free. Congratulations to the Champions, they certainly earned it."

About Gary Byerly:
Gary Byerly has been competing in IDPA matches for the past nine years and USPSA and 3-Gun matches for six years. He is an IDPA ESP and SSP Master, as well as a six-time IDPA State Champion. Byerly is a Master in Production and holds an "A" Classification in Open, Limited, Limited 10 and Single Stack in USPSA. Byerly is also a four time Area class winner and a one-time Area Champion.

About Brandon Wright:
Brandon Wright served four years as a Law Enforcement Officer and four years as a State Trooper in the Virginia State Police. In addition, Wright was a member of the local police department S.W.A.T. Team. Wright has over nine years of experience as a Firearms Instructor, which he puts into practice at G4S ITI as their Senior Firearms Instructor. He is an IDPA Master Class shooter in SSP, ESP, and CDP and holds a "Master" classification in USPSA Production.
