Team GLOCK's Nonaka Takes Junior IDPA Junior National Title

SMYRNA, GA - Team GLOCK competitor Tori Nonaka competed against some of the nation's best shooters at the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) Nationals event and claimed the Junior title in Oxford, NC. The 17- year-old competitor posted a time of 340.21, besting her closest competitor by more than 50 points. Competing in the Enhanced Service Pistol Division, and using a GLOCK G34 in 9x19, Nonaka won on the technically challenging 16 stages created by Frank Glover and his staff.

"This year's match was very exciting for me, as my last year to compete as a junior, and the win is a testament to the years of work my family and I have put into this sport," stated Nonaka. "I have worked very hard this year, since I broke my wrist, to shoot better with both my strong and weak hand, and at this year's stage requiring that skill, I cleaned and was satisfied with my improvement."

Nonaka will next switch disciplines and head to the USPSA NC Sectional match at the Sir Walter Gun Clubin Creedmore, NC, on October 5, 2012, as the team prepares for the upcoming USPSA Nationals at theDesert Sportsman's Rifle and Pistol Club in Las Vegas, NV, starting October 13, 2012.
