Among the Talon's key features are simplicity and serviceability. With fewer than 20 parts, the Talon's simple design uses two opposing internal discs that retain each of the baton's shafts in place to ensure that lockout is stable and secure. In addition, it has a retention groove at the bottom of the foamed vinyl grip to improve grasp. With such a straightforward design, the Talon can be easily maintained and serviced in the field should service be necessary.
