Safariland Announces NRA Bianchi Cup Scholarship Recipients

ONTARIO, California - Safariland®, a brand of The Safariland Group, announced today fourteen talented junior competitors ages 17-21 have been selected to compete with a Safariland sponsorship at the 2013 35th MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup National Championship in Columbia, MO. Scheduled for May 22-25, the national championship is expected to have 325 competitors with more than 200 already registered.

"Words can't describe how amazing it is to be a part of a program that supports young competitive shooters," said Scott Carnahan, Vice President, Equipment Marketing for the Safariland brand. "We believe in these junior competitors as they are the future of the sport."

More than 125 hopeful competitors applied for the scholarship through an official application involving a recommendation by a coach or instructor and an essay submission of why the applicant should be selected. The top fourteen applicants were selected by the NRA Competition Staff and the majority of the shooters will be competing in the Production Division using the provided Safariland competition gear such as belts, holsters, magazine pouches, and shooters bag.
