SAR Partners with Weatherby Foundation

Imperial, MO – The Student Air Rifle Program (SAR) is thrilled to partner with the Weatherby Foundation to implement SAR in Texas.

“We are proud to support SAR and look forward to SAR students participating in shooting sports and related activities well into the future,” noted Ricardo Longoria, Weatherby Foundation President.

“Through the comprehensive SAR curriculum, students get hands-on opportunities to experience target shooting and learn how shooters and hunters drive conservation support,” added Longoria.

“Weatherby Foundation provided SAR with a $20,000 grant used to purchase SAR equipment kits for Texas Schools. The inaugural Texas Basic Air Riflery Instructor Training took place in November near Houston, Texas and resulted in 10 trainers positioned all across Texas. Weatherby Foundation’s support helped facilitate a sustainable coordination framework in Texas with fellow partners, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas State Rifle Association Foundation,” mentioned Jake Hindman, President and CEO of SAR.

“We value our partnership with the Weatherby Foundation and are working on expanding SAR in Texas and other states,” noted, Hindman.
