Team Lapua Members Shine In All Disciplines Across the Country

Team Lapua shines at matches across numerous disciplines and across the nation!

Members of Team Lapua participated in a variety of competitions all across the country with great success.

Team Lapua's Cathy Winstead-Severin captured the 2014 Ironman Silhouette Competition in Montana winning both Hunter and Standard Rifle for smallbore silhouette and Standard Rifle for high power silhouette. This gruelling match features 2 smallbore silhouette matches in the morning followed by 2 high power silhouette matches in the afternoon, both on Saturday and Sunday. Cathy was using Lapua Midas+ ammunition for smallbore and Lapua Scenar bullets, Lapua cases, and VihtaVuori Powder for high power. Cathy is a national accomplished silhouette shooter and owner of Good Shooting, a sport shooting supplier(www.goodshooting.com).

At the Southern Nationals Smallbore Silhouette Championships in Winnsboro, LA, 15-year-old Mallory Nichols captured 3rd Place against a field of strong competitors. Mallory has been a member of Team Lapua for 5 years and will next compete at the NRA National Championships for smallbore rifle and high power rifle at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM in July.

Meanwhile, in Sloughhouse, CA, Francis Kuehl used his 6 x 47 Lapua, the 105 gr. Scenar bullets powered by VihtaVuori N550 powder to best a tough field at the Tactical Bolt Rifle Challenge. Competing against 74 shooters at distances from 25 to 1000 yards, Kuehl bested the field. This match win follows up a 2nd place finish at the K&M Precision Rifle Challenge in Florida over Memorial Day weekend. http://www.precisionrifleseries.com/)

Team Lapua's Shawn McKenna won the Colorado State Offhand Championships setting a new state record. McKenna shoots .223 Remington with Lapua cases, Lapua 77 grain Scenar-L bullets, and VV N540 powder.

Benchrest Hall of Fame member and legend, Tony Boyer, capture the 2014 Super Shoot title held at Kelbly's in North Lawrence, OH. Boyer shot a new record .2164" to capture the title. Boyer uses VV N133 powder and Lapua .220 Russian cases exclusively.

Retired Mississippi State Trooper Phil Hemphill captured his 2nd consecutive Alabama State Pistol Championship. A member of Team Lapua for many years, Hemphill was shooting Lapua Pistol OSP while winning. Hemphill will next compete at the NRA National Pistol Championships at Camp Perry, OH.
