CORE Rifle Systems Sponsors "Bad to the Bone" SWAT Competition

Ocala, Fl - CORE Rifle Systems renews its annual support for the law enforcement community in support of the Marion County Florida Sheriff's Department's Annual "Bad-to-the-Bone" competition in Ocala, Florida.

The Marion County Florida Sheriff's Office hosted their annual Bad to the Bone SWAT competition on Friday, October 16th, 2015. The activities included a Tough Man competition, a Baddest Gal Alive Division, a Men's Five Member Team Competition, and a Tough Men Over 40 Division.

The "Bad-to-the-Bone" competition as in the past, is sponsored by CORE Rifle Systems. In previous competitions CORE Rifle systems awards the team winners and the overall winners with a new CORE Rifle Systems TAC III Rifle.

This year, Marion County Sheriff's Office wanted to award the overall competition winner with something special. CORE did just that by awarding the overall Tough Man's Winner- Captain Chris Crawford of the Florida Department of Corrections. Chris had wowed the entire crowd with his incredible speed and skills and took home the very first and newly released CORE TAC 6.5 Grendel Rifle. This was the first time anyone had laid eyes on the new rifle release from CORE! Great job Chris and MCSO. Always a first class event.

Information about CORE Rifle Systems TAC 6.5 Grendel and TAC III Rifle can be found on the CORE Rifle Systems website located a www.coreriflesystems.com.

About the Marion County Sheriff's Office "Bad to the Bone" competition.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office "Bad to the Bone" competition started in 2008 and has been held every October since. Each year, SWAT teams and other members of Florida law enforcement agencies are invited to participate. Teams and individuals face 17 challenging obstacles. Bad to the Bone allows for individuals to build upon their own respective talents as well as display their ability to work as a team. This competition helps teams prepare for the Annual Orlando SWAT Round-up competition in November. The event is free to participants, family and friends who want to cheer on their loved ones.
