"Increasing participation in the 2nd year of the Golf Classic was a major goal and the industry again showed its heart for the HAVA cause by increasing sponsor contributions by 160% and the number of players by 84% over last year," said HAVA Chairman Tom Taylor. "HAVA's cause of support for disabled veterans is a most worthy one, and our industry shows its best instincts as it repeatedly steps up together to further the rehabilitation of the disabled veterans and the wounded active military whom we serve."

"Being the Presenting Sponsor of the HAVA Golf Classic on an ongoing basis is NSSF's privilege, and we encourage all of our members to get involved in this outstanding effort – through the Classic, or through any of the HAVA initiatives," said Chris Dolnack, NSSF Sr. Vice President and CMO. "The Classic is becoming a terrific informal meeting where we can support a great cause while having fun competing on the course before the serious business of the SHOT Show begins. HAVA is our industry's best statement of support for those great Americans who have served, and we should all offer our support."
