From Father to Sons

Hamburg, PA., - Doug Koenig's Championship Season on Pursuit Channel, Friday nights at 10:00 pm joins the NRA Freedom Friday lineup. This week Doug and his son Treavor team up and compete together, then it's off to Argentina to hunt alongside oldest son Zach for Red Deer Stag.

As Doug and Trevor drive through the gates at Copperhead Creek Ranch, in Marble Falls, Texas it means one thing, they've arrived at the Sportsman's Team Challenge National Championship. The timed and scored match consists of two and three person teams shooting .22 rimfire rifles, .22 rimfire pistols, shotgun and centerfire handguns. Always a favorite match of Doug's, the event brings together families and sportsman alike who share and enjoy the spirit of the shooting sports.

Traveling more than 5,000 miles away from their Keystone home state, Doug and his older son Zach head to the south eastern coast of Argentina. After an exciting day of high volume dove hunting, Father and son settle into camp to rest up and discuss where they'll hunt Stags over the next few days. With the help of their guide Dean Greve of JDG Hunting Services, Doug and Zach slowly stalk the moving bulls and finally get close enough for an ideal shot.
