COLVILLE, WASHINGTON — Cabela's Outdoor Fund has presented USA Youth Education in Shooting (USAYESS) with a $35,000 grant to be used for the USAYESS Family Outdoor Experience Program. In addition to making Cabela's Outdoor Fund the presenting partner for the Family Outdoor Experiences this grant also makes Cabela's Outdoor Fund a title sponsor of the USAYESS program.

In 2015-2016 USAYESS hosted close to 20,000 moms, dads and young people at the five annual Family Outdoor Experience Events in Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Washington, and Tennessee. The program introduces families to firearm safety, skeet, trap, archery, rifle target shooting, BB, fishing, camping, and other outdoor family activities. The events are under the supervision of certified instructors and USAYESS partners with local conservation groups and wildlife agencies to teach outdoor wildlife habitat and conservation.

Mr Borg continued "This grant will allow USAYESS to grow the Family Outdoor Experience Program." Ultimately, USAYESS plans on having a Family Outdoor Experience in every state that has a USAYESS State Affiliate.
