Beretta Congratulates Kim Rhode

(Accokeek, MD) Beretta DT11 shooter Kim Rhode made history when she was awarded the bronze medal for Women's Skeet during the Olympic games in Rio De Janeiro. Rhode is the first athlete to win an individual medal at six straight Summer Olympics and the first to win Olympic medals on five continents. She adds this bronze to her current medal collection of three golds, one silver, and one other bronze.
Rhode advanced to the bronze-medal match through a shoot off that eliminated teammate Morgan Craft in the semifinals, before facing another DT11 shooter Wei Meng from China in a second shoot off to capture her place in history.

In the end joining Rhode on the podium were two other Beretta DT11 shooters with the silver and gold medal being awarded to Italian team members Chiara Cainero and Diana Bacosi respectively.

Looking back on her Olympic performances, Rhode took time in Rio to enjoy the significance of this most recent accomplishment and to thank her sponsors, then quickly set her sights on Tokyo.

"We're very proud of Kim and congratulate her as well as the entire US National Team of Shooters. Making it to the Olympics is an accomplishment in and of itself," said Ryan Muety, V.P. Sales and Marketing for Beretta USA.

Beretta had a particularly good showing at these Olympic Games. Ten of the 15 medals awarded for shotgun shooting sports went to athletes who shoot the Beretta DT11. Muety went on to say, "That's like having the same car maker finish in ten of the first 15 places at a Formula One race. We are proud that our shotgun were chosen by these athletes and that it played a role in their winning performances."

In addition to Rhode, the Beretta DT11 was the shotgun used by these Olympic medal winners.
