Crosman National Field Target Series Enters Final Week

BLOOMFIELD, New York -- It's come down to this. Oregon's Randy Ebersole hasn't taken his foot off the gas all summer and has built a commanding 610-point lead going into the final ten days of the 2016 Crosman National Field Target Series' rifle division. His second place score in the pistol division means Ebersole is a lock to take the All-Around title.

Over 250 matches have taken place in the Crosman National Series, all sanctioned by the American Airgun Field Target Association including 12 major regional "AAFTA Grand Prix" events. Over 115 competitors qualified for the series in rifle division and 55 in pistol. Among the rifle participants, the top 20 shooters have averaged 10 events with the top four having each shot in over 20 matches. Throughout the year, participants were able to earn bonus points for participating in major events like the Grand Prix matches, the Crosman All-American Championship and the AAFTA National Championship that's taking place in Michigan October 7-9, 2016.

"Since we kicked off this program a year ago, the Crosman National Series has enabled AAFTA competitors to measure their performance with others from across the country while match directors have taken advantage of the AAFTA Club Program to introduce new shooters to the sport with discounted equipment", said Chip Hunnicutt, Marketing Manager for Crosman and CNS event director. "Along with the largest field target event of the year in the Crosman All-American Field Target Championship, we are proud to partner with AAFTA to promote this exciting sport!"

To qualify for the Crosman National Series, shooters must use a Crosman or Benjamin product in an AAFTA sanctioned field target match. Scores are normalized based on the top score of the match and added to their aggregate throughout the AAFTA year. The 2017 season begins October 10, 2016 and ends with the 2017 AAFTA Nationals. Rules for the 2017 Crosman National Series along with match reports and standings are available on the Crosman website. Competitors of every caliber interested in trying out the exciting sport of field target are invited to shop the Crosman Field Target Store.
