Marketing Communications Manager: Crosman Corporation

Crosman Corporation, the world's largest designer and manufacturer of airguns and ammunition is looking for a Marketing Communications Manager. In this role, you are responsible for creating and executing the communications and outreach strategy for the company, including traditional and social media, public relations, and the Crosman.com web and e-commerce platform. You will play a key, highly visible role in our trade shows and other events, and you will be the point person working with our legal team to help drive expanded access/legalization of air powered weapons.
This position requires strong writing and speaking skills and as well as being comfortable speaking in front of groups and being filmed for media interviews and product demonstrations. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, including Design and Mechanical Engineering, product management, and the sales team. You must also be able to effectively communicate product capabilities and benefits to external partners including media, celebrity endorsement partners, state legislators and fish & wildlife department personnel.
Together with the VP of marketing and product management team you also participate in defining the go-to-market strategy for new products, helping drive creation of materials that communicate the product positioning and key benefits to the target consumers.
The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills as well as a personal passion for hunting and the outdoor industry. This position will report to the VP of Marketing. The person in this role will work closely with the manager of digital initiatives, the customer service department, and event/show staff.
This role is highly visible within the company and the industry and requires travel, up to 25% depending on the time of year.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Plan and administer advertising budget, scheduling insertions and working with art department on creative.
· Work with external partners to ensure Crosman and Benjamin branding is executed correctly (including celebrity endorsers)
· Create content and administer all Social Media platforms. Recruit and cultivate relationships with prostaff to drive content. Review and research new/emerging social platforms and monitoring tools.
· Manage all Crosman.com communications including VIP programs, affiliate programs, email outreach programs, blog content and online promotions and specials
· Planning and participation for key industry events (primarily ATA, SHOT, and NRA convention). Schedule celebrity appearances and media interviews; place media and editorial in relevant show guides. Attend Media Day and shooting demo events as needed.
· Lead Airgun/Airbow legalization outreach. Work closely with our lawyer and create materials and attend events to educate legislators and state fish & wildlife officials on the capability of air powered weapons to help expand consumer's ability to use them in their state seasons.
· Plan, create and distribute corporate and product videos.
