Charity Navigator Awards NASP Highest Ratings

"Charity Navigator Awards NASP® Highest Ratings!"

The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®) has had much to celebrate over the years, since its inception back in 2002. Not only is NASP® the largest non-profit student archery organization in the world, it has also long been recognized for affording youth a new sport and hobby to enjoy, the ability to work as a team, build confidence, and enhance academic performance.

As if this archery program didn't already have enough to celebrate, it now has another arrow in its quiver. NASP® was recently awarded a 4-star rating, the highest achievable, from Americas largest independent charity evaluator, Charity Navigator. NASP® has always long enjoyed high ratings, but this is the first time that it's held this top distinction!

Founded in 2001, Charity Navigator is an American independent charity overseer that evaluates and measures a multitude of charities over the United States. Using a specific methodology, it measures organizations according to its governance, ethical practices, transparency, as well as its financial responsibilities. If a charity measures high on all these factors, it's awarded with the highest ratings. As of today, Charity Navigator tracks over 1.5 million charities and only a quarter of them meet the highest standards.

Roy Grimes, President and CEO of NASP® said, "This is terrific news! It demonstrates our dedication to best practices for non-profit organizations!" Every year NASP® receives donations from medal level sponsors such as Mathews Archery, Gordon Composites, Morrell Targets, Plano, Saunders Archery, The Block, BCY, NAP, Lancaster Archery, NEET, Easton Technical Products, Academy Sports and Outdoors, National Wild Turkey Federation, Cabela's Outdoor Fund, Easton Foundation, American Whitetail Targets, Plano Synergy, SCI Foundation, Pope & Young Club, and others. What sets NASP® apart from many other organizations is it spends donated funds on events that are the target of the organization such as training teachers to become archery instructors and conducting national and world level youth archery tournaments.

Charity Navigator says that 50% of its overall ratings are a culmination of Accountability and Transparency, and NASP® excels in both! Congratulations to NASP® on all its past, present, and yet to come achievements!
