West Bend, WI – The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) is calling on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to hold a vote on national concealed carry reciprocity legislation.
The House of Representatives
passed Congressman Richard Hudson's
Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (H.R. 38) on Wednesday by a margin of 231-198 and
was applauded by the USCCA. Legislation is now pending in the United States Senate for a vote on
the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (S. 466).
Tim Schmidt, the Founder and President of the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) made the following statement:
"The United States Concealed Carry Association urges the Senate to follow leadership in the House of Representatives and hold a vote on the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 as soon as possible," said Tim Schmidt, Founder and President of the United States Concealed Carry Association. "The vote in the House of Representatives was a significant step forward, and action is now required in the Senate. There are additional steps Congress can and should take to ensure a safer America, and that begins with finally passing national concealed carry reciprocity legislation. Law-abiding citizens should have the right to defend themselves and their families at all times from killers who do not follow our laws. We urge lawmakers in the Senate to vote for this important legislation as soon as possible."
