Alabama S3DA Holds 3-D State Championship

Williamsburg, KY –– Alabama S3DA held their 3-D State Championship at Autauga County Bowhunters in Prattville, Alabama. Alabama State Coordinator, Charmen McAlpine stated, “Thank you to all who participated in the 2018 Alabama S3DA 3-D State Championship. Thank you to all the parents and coaches for making sure our archers arrived on time and for making sure they had all their equipment. Thank you to Omega Archery Products for sponsoring the trophies for the championship. A special thanks to University of the Cumberland’s, University of Pikeville, Bethel University, Union College and Lindsey Wilson College for the scholarships given out to the high school shooters. Seeing the pride and gratitude in their eyes makes this all worth it.”

Head coach of the Poarch Creek Indians, Blakelee Dawn stated, “What a great day! We are leaving the S3DA 3-D State Championship with 7-top ranked kids in the state and more than $200,000 worth of scholarships. How blessed are we to be able to achieve the goals that the kids have worked so hard for?” 

Heritage S3DA Club coach Joey Skinner said, “We are so proud of our Heritage Archers who competed in this championship. They all shot great and were a pleasure to be around! We want to thank Autauga County Bowhunters for hosting and for a warm welcome. Also, a special thank you to Charmen McAlpine for a well-organized shoot, efficient check-in and serving as our State Coordinator.

The Autauga County Bowhunters said they appreciated the opportunity to host the state championship for the S3DA shooters and they also hope everyone enjoyed themselves at the shoot and they look forward to seeing them on the range in the future. Alabama S3DA is set to hold two Outdoor Regional events Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Cullman, AL and Pensacola, FL.
