NSSF a Gold Sponsor of the IDPA Nationals
BERRYVILLE, Ar. – The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) announced that the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, will for the eleventh year in a row be a major sponsor of IDPA’s annual U.S. National Championship.
Since 2008, the close working relationship between IDPA and NSSF has helped grow participation in IDPA dramatically. As part of the organization’s overall mission to promote the shooting sports in America, NSSF has again partnered with IDPA to make the sport’s National Championship one of the best.
“We are very pleased to be working with NSSF again for 2018 and to have their generous support as we prepare to host this year’s IDPA U.S. National Championship. It is with the support of sponsors like NSSF that IDPA has been able to hold such a wonderful showcase for the premier shooters in our sport” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.
“In what looks to be an era of positivity for firearms owners, it’s more important than ever before that each of us take our firearms out of the safe, onto the range and do everything we can to help our shooting sports thrive.” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Shooting Range Services. “Our sponsorship of the IDPA Nationals is a perfect way for NSSF to connect with today’s firearms owners and encourage their active participation in the sports they love. It’s time we had fun with our firearms again, and we’re looking forward to a big turnout and a great Nationals this coming September in Alabama.
Hosted by the Civilian Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama, the 2018 IDPA U.S. National Championship will take place September 13th thru the 15th and are again expected to draw over 300 of the sport’s top shooters. NSSF will be a gold level sponsor of the event.
