Team Beretta Ladies Excel

(Accokeek, MD) Team Beretta shooters recently achieved podium honors in 7 different events during two regional competitions.

Team Beretta members in attendance at the 2018 Southeast Regional competition were Desirae Edmunds and Zachary Kienbaum. Additionally, Team Beretta captain, Diane Sorantino, attended the 2018 Delaware River Classic and Kolar Cup.

Edmunds, who shoots with a Beretta DT11 L, achieved two ladies’ champion podium honors in the main and 5-Stand events.

In the main ladies’ event, Edmunds topped the podium with a score of 174 out of 200 targets, besting her nearest competitor by 11. She won top honors in the 5-Stand ladies’ event with a score of 93 birds, edging out the runner-up finisher by just one target.

Edmunds also attained two runner-up and one third-place podium finishes in the Super Sporting, FITASC, and Preliminary ladies’ events with scores of 90, 93, and 85 targets, respectively.

Kienbaum battled against some tough competitors and finished in the top ten for each event in which he competed.

Hosted at M&M Hunting Preserve in Pennsville, NJ, the Delaware River Classic and Kolar Cup boasted approximately 400 shooters from October 5-7. M&M Hunting Preserve is owned and operated by Team Beretta member, Anthony Matarese, and he designed the courses for each of these competitions.

Sorantino, shooting with a Beretta A400 Xcel, topped the podium in the main event as the ladies’ champion with a score of 88 out of 100 targets, besting her nearest competitor by 5 birds.

She also achieved first-place honors in the Kolar Cup Ladies’ event with a score of 87 targets out of 100.

The team’s season will continue with the upcoming 2018 National Championship at the NSCA headquarters in San Antonio, TX from October 20-28.
