Cato, FPC File Brief in 9th Circuit Appeal on Tax Law Conviction: The Firearms Policy Coalition announced the filing of an important joint amicus brief with the Cato Institute at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals case in a man’s appeal from a conviction under a federal tax law relating to “machineguns.” Apparently the defendant in the case failed to “pay the tax” to get a stamp on a machine gun. Unfortunately, he was proscribed from registering the machine gun and thus was jailed for failure to pay a tax the government wouldn’t allow him to pay . . . See the amicus brief here. Rigby limited edition W.D.M. Bell Highland Stalker rifle: Paying homage to iconic British adventurer Karamojo Bell, London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has released a new limited edition ‘W.D.M. Bell’ model of their Highland Stalker rifle. Based on the original 1928 Rigby rifle design, on the magazine floor plate is the engraving of ‘W.D.M.B’, as per Bell’s original rifle. Plus the rifle has a Rigby spoon bolt handle and Mauser flag safety just like Bell’s.

Leatherman FREE Collection: The Leatherman FREE collection is characterized by a new architecture with integrated magnets for ease of opening, handling and using the multipurpose pocketable tools. The internal locking system uses an elastomer to reduce wear on the implements. The collection features a P-Series (pliers-based), T-Series (everyday carry) and, in the fall, the K-Series, a multipurpose knife.

Shoot Like A Girl Mobile Range Onsite at Cabela's in Boise: Women ages 16 and older will be afforded the opportunity to shoot inside Shoot Like A Girl’s semi-tractor trailer mobile range at Cabela's in Boise, ID Saturday, June 29th from 10am-5pm and Sunday, June 30th 10am-4pm. New and experienced shooters are invited to attend this free event. At the range, women gain experience in handling and shooting handguns, long guns and compound bows using state-of-the-art technology.

 
 

Value-priced Bond Arms pistols: Bond Arms has been approached by fans who have asked if there was any way to make a more affordable version of the Bond Arms handgun line. The folks at Bond Arms went to work, and their answer to the request is the new Rough Series handguns featuring two models-the Roughneck and the Rough N Rowdy. The Roughneck is a single-action double barrel 9mm pistol with a stainless-steel finish and black rubber grips. The Rough N Rowdy is a single-action double barrel pistol chambered for .45 Colt and 2½-inch .410 shells.
