Dee Falk Joins S3DA Board of Directors

Williamsburg, KY – Despite the ongoing global pandemic and social distancing mandates that vary greatly by location, S3DA memberships have shown incredible expansion over the last two years. In keeping with the growth of the program, and needs of the member base, Scholastic 3-D Archery recently added Dee Falks to the S3DA Board of Directors. Dee will be instrumental in ensuring Scholastic 3-D Archery’s future growth in the target archery world and beyond. With dedicated and experienced board members such as Dee Falks, S3DA will continue to flourish in all facets of the program.

Dee began his archery career in Tennessee in 1989, quickly rising through the ranks to become the Archery Shooter’s Association (ASA) Federation Director and Chairman of the Rules and Competition Committee in 2002. Since that time, he has added many other roles to his resume with ASA but as Federation Direction, he is responsible for coordinating the actions of forty State Directors and five Regional Directors who represent over three hundred fifty affiliated archery clubs and twelve thousand individual members. This staff organizes over two hundred and fifty (250) state qualifier tournaments and thirty-five (35) state championship tournaments each year.

Dee also has an outstanding and extensive career with USA Archery. Since 2007, he has been the USA Archery “Junior Dream Team” coach and eventually developed and implemented the Level 3 (Community) Coach Course which is used by the NFAA, ASA and USA Archery as the basic level coach certification course. In 2009, Dee earned his USA Archery Level 5 Coaching Certification and continues his extensive coaching line-up both domestically and abroad.

The addition of Dee Falks to the S3DA Board of Directors, which includes seats from S3DA partnering and competition organizations as well as conservation, hunting and outreach industries will be a bright light on the path to nationwide expansion and beyond for S3DA, the #nextstep youth archery forum that everyone needs to know about.

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3-D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA students participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Students can participate at local, regional, state, and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
