Team Lapua’s Erik Cortina Finishes Strong at 2022 European National Championships

Sedalia, MO – Team Lapua’s Erik Cortina finished second overall in the F-Open Division at the 2022 European National Championships. Cortina scored a 319.34 to secure the second-place result and won the F-Open 1,000-yard leg of the competition.

The 2022 European National Championships were held September 6-11 at the historic National Shooting Centre in Bisley, England. The European National Championships, hosted by the Great Britain F-Class Rifle Association, had individual and team matches at distances of 800, 900 and 1,000 yards.

Cortina’s fellow Lapua Brux teammates also placed in the top ten F-Open positions overall, with Tod Hendricks finishing fourth and David Christian in ninth. Hendricks finished first in the 900-yard competition and first in the Day 1 aggregate. Christian placed second in both the 800-yard and 900-yard competitions.

"It was an incredible match. The range, the people, the weather, and everything about it was spectacular. The four seasons of the year were condensed into two days,” commented Cortina. “It was my first time shooting at Bisley and I can tell you I will definitely be back.”
