Ruger Seeking Manufacturing Engineers

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is searching to fill Manufacturing Engineer positions in our Arizona, New Hampshire and North Carolina facilities.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are expected to work collaboratively with leadership, operations, employees and other functional areas to promote a productive and amicable work environment. The responsibilities of this position include troubleshooting, solving problems and making manufacturing process improvements; participating in update meetings to communicate latest information and to stay on current issues; setting up CNC Machines and understanding cutting tool theory; specifying cutting tools and equipment needed to perform manufacturing and assembly operations; programming CNC machines using CAM; designing tools and fixtures for the production process; and generating technical drawings, utilizing CAD, and assigning drawings to R&D. In the Manufacturing Engineer role, you will also evaluate new processes, equipment supplies and technology; generate purchase orders; participate in Product Development Cycle; collaborate with design engineers; improve manufacturing efficiency; analyze economics of solutions; prove out the manufactured solution; serve as project manager on manufacturing projects as requested; train personnel on specific process improvements; and adhere to Ruger’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Teamwork.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of practical manufacturing engineering experience including CAD/CAM and CNC Machining.
