Essential Functions*:
- Maximize Winchester brand(s) presence at trade and consumer events. Promote key products through strategic planning and execution, with high collaboration across departments in the organization (i.e., sales and product management).
- Event responsibilities include coordination of contracts, scheduling, rental agreements, creative assets, booth management, branded merchandise sales, staffing, and overall brand presence.
- Identify creative ways to educate and engage with event participants to build brand loyalty or purchase intent.
- Support and promote the launch of strategic new products at trade and consumer events.
- Consult with key stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of various departments are achieved through event
marketing plans, including product management, sales, marketing, and executive team.
- Monitor existing trade events, assess the competitive presence, and make improvement recommendations.
- Responsible for Winchester outside agency coordination for our booth management, including set up/tear down,
warehousing, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain the annual event calendar and provide frequent updates to the management team. Creativity in pre- and
post-event recaps required (working with PowerPoint/Word/Photography/Video).
- Assure departmental operating budgets are achieved.
Additional support includes:
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend impactful retail branding materials and sources from agency partners.
- Fulfill sales requests for point-of-sale materials or event swag.
Position Requirements*:
- Bachelor’s degree** in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum two years of event marketing or related relevant experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Winchester products and/or customers.
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP skills preferred.
- Individual must be a highly motivated self-starter who can thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal/external customers, exercising extreme
diplomacy.
- Superior creativity, customer service, planning, organizational, prioritization, written and oral communication skills required.
- Detailed individual with high accuracy and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to accept new challenges and tasks as requested.
- Ability to lift, walk, and stand for extended periods while setting up and working events.
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 30 days per year, which includes weekends.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the
candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
