The Times Are A-Changin’ Over At American Frontiersman

Calling all frontiersmen! This issue of American Frontiersman magazine is truly special. Not only is it the first issue of 2019, but it also marks our first quarterly edition. That’s right. We listened to all of your feedback and have decided to give the readers what they want—more issues!
So what does that mean for you? Well, for starters, it means more of what you already love from our great magazine: more DIY project blueprints, more trapping skills and more helpful insight from your favorite writers on what it takes to be the ultimate frontiersmen.
To kick things off right, we decided to start the Spring 2019 issue with a little history. Contributor Lamar Underwood gives you the in-depth story on the Ashley men and how their legacy grew over time. From there we transition into some essentials, like eating. This issue is packed with how-to guides on cooking wild meats, eating like a mountain man and crafting your own backwoods brews. And if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make your own moccasins, author Cody Assmann has got you covered with an easy-to-follow guide as well. Trust us, this guy is the real deal, and your new moccasins will last you for years if done right.
