Florida FWC Seeks Manager for Shooting Sports Facility

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is looking to hire an outgoing, self-motivated, and experienced shooting range manager to serve as the operations manager (Park Services Specialist - 77902498) for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Complex.

This new, world-class shooting sports facility is one of the largest in Florida. It consists of five rifle and handgun ranges, five international trap fields, six American trap fields, five international skeet fields, four American skeet fields, a 15-station sporting clays course and 5-stand sporting clays. This complex is expected to host Olympic style-shooting events and other regional and national competitions. In addition, it will meet the growing demand for safe target shooting experiences for new and avid shooting sports participants.

The ideal candidate is a customer-service oriented leader who can oversee all aspects of management and operation of the shooting sports complex, including but not limited to shooting sports staff, venues, promotions, training and retail operations. This complex is open to the public Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
