Wisconsin S3DA™ holds 1st Indoor Regional of the 2020 Season

Williamsburg, KY – Elevate Archery hosted the 1st Indoor Regional of the 2020 season in New London, Wisconsin. More than 200 spectators were on hand to watch 74 archers compete for awards and a chance to qualify for the Wisconsin S3DA Indoor State Championship coming up on February 29th, 2020. Overall, the event was a huge success and eleven (11) clubs and one (1) team were present for the regional event.

Elevate Archery S3DA™ coach Lynn Sukow said, “This was Elevate Archery’s first year as a club and first year hosting an Indoor S3DA™ tournament. The tournament filled up before the official close date and it was surprising at how many archers participated with the event being on a weekend so close to Christmas. We were thrilled at the overall turn out and it was really exciting to see so many NEW archers. The veteran archers did a great job on mentoring the new archers and made them feel right at home. The coaches from existing clubs were very supportive as well.”

S3DA archer Lanie Mallmann said, “I had a really great time! Everything was well planned. I liked that the parents had a good place to watch us shoot.”

“This tournament was a huge success. The kids were great, and everyone had a good time. A lot of the new archers seemed shy and nervous, but everyone worked together and had a blast. We had a lot of support from volunteers to make this event successful,” stated Elevate Archery S3DA™ coach, Mike Bonack.

Wisconsin S3DA™ State Coordinator, Dan Schroeder stated, “While I was not able to attend this event, it was evident by the pictures and all the positive feedback that Elevate Archery and all of the volunteers did an outstanding job. There were a lot of new archers and teams present. I think the coaches in Wisconsin do an amazing job on mentoring and this is visibly evident with the overall growth of the program.”
