Team Beretta Shooters Win Honors at Recent Competitions

(Accokeek, MD) Team Beretta shooters recently achieved 11 podiums honors between two concurrent regional competitions.

Team Beretta members in attendance at the 2019 Northeast Regional Championship included Desirae Edmunds, Joseph Fanizzi, Zachary Kienbaum, Diane Sorantino, Meagan Harrington, and Dominic Gross. Concurrently, Jared Greenwood attended the 2019 Kansas State FITASC/5-Stand competition hosted at Flint Oak in Fall River, KS.

Edmunds, shooting with a Beretta DT11 L, topped the podium as the ladies champion in the main event with a score of 180 out 200 targets, besting her nearest competitor by 3 targets. She also brought home a ladies third-place podium finish in the preliminary Red Bird Classic event with a score of 83 out of 100 targets.

Fanizzi, a junior team member who shoots with an A400 Xcel Sporting Black Edition, secured a sub-junior runner-up podium honor with a score of 187 out of 200 targets, just five targets behind the overall main event champion. Additionally, he also attained two champion podium honors and two third-place podium finishes in the FITASC (junior), preliminary Red Bird Classic (sub-junior), 5-Stand (senior), and Super Sporting (senior) events with scores of 89/100, 95/100, 94/100, and 49/50, respectively.

Kienbaum, who shoots with a standard Beretta DT11, topped the podium in the Super Sporting event with a score of 49 out of 50 targets.

Sorantino, shooting with a Beretta A400 Xcel, won a ladies runner-up podium honor in the Super Sporting event with a score of 44 targets out of 50.

Harrington and Gross battled against some tough competitors and turned in strong performances, but did not make podium appearances.

Concurrently, Greenwood achieved a champion podium honor in the main FITASC event at the Kansas State FITASC/5-Stand competition with a score of 91 out of 100 targets. He also secured a junior champion podium honor in the 5-Stand event with a score of 89 targets out of 100.

Team Beretta shooters will continue their season at the upcoming 2019 Southeast Regional Championship held at Back Woods Quail Club in Georgetown, SC.
