MidwayUSA Foundation Has Record Giving Tuesday for Youth Shooting Sports

Columbia, MOThe public charity that helps fund thousands of youth shooting teams has recently raised over $275,000! On November 29, MidwayUSA Foundation had a record-breaking Giving Tuesday by receiving the largest amount of donation dollars for youth shooting sports since beginning their Giving Tuesday campaigns in 2017. Donors from all over the country made donations to youth shooting teams and organizations to make this possible. In just one day, MidwayUSA Foundation raised $275,749.10, crushing their goal of $200,000!

MidwayUSA Foundation Executive Director, G. Scott Reynolds talked about how the Foundation’s donation match and incentive dollars made an even more significant impact on youth shooting sports, “Thanks to Larry and Brenda Potterfield, we were able to add an additional $220,000 in Giving Tuesday matching and incentive dollars, contributing a grand total of $495,749.10 to youth shooting endowments here at MidwayUSA Foundation. Growing our endowments by nearly half a million dollars will put more dollars to work in our outdoor industry.” Close to 300 youth shooting programs received a donation on Giving Tuesday.

Youth shooting teams that participated in the fundraising event also had the chance to win additional funds to grow their respective endowment. The teams that received the most donations on Giving Tuesday received awards ranging from $5,000 to $1,000. In addition to the top teams, all other participating teams were entered into a random draw, where ten teams were drawn to receive $500 each.
