Trijicon® Inc. Announces Joint Venture with Precision Sports Technologies, LLC – Setting the Stage for Groundbreaking New Wind Technology

Wixom, MI - Trijicon® Inc., a global provider of innovative aiming solutions, today announced a joint partnership with Precision Sports Technologies, LLC (PST), a spin-off of Optical Air Data Systems, LLC (OADS) to commercialize a revolutionary new technology in wind sensing. The partnership, WindPro Technologies, will bring products to market in varied industries where the ability to record wind values is of vital importance.

With over thirty years of innovation in Aerospace, Defense, Renewable Energy and Public Safety, OADS is best known for laser remote sensing and the development of Laser Doppler Velocimetry solutions for precision measurement applications. Using the LDV technique, laser pulses that are emitted from a sensor are reflected from microscopic particles in the air. These pulses are returned to the sensor and measured, giving a direct reading of air or wind speed.
