Team Easton Archers Top Every Podium in Medellin

First World Cup of 2019 Sees Gold Medal Sweep by Easton Archers

The 2019 outdoor archery season is shaping up as one of the most competitive ever as teams around the world vie to qualify to compete in the Tokyo Olympic Games. The first major event of the season took place this past week in Medellin, Colombia. Team Easton archers earned all titles at the event, sweeping every gold medal and shooting very high scores.

Brady Ellison clenched his record 10th World Cup Finals appearance by beating Korean star Lee Woo Seok in the recurve men’s final. Both archers, using X10 arrows, came into the finals with great scores, but none higher than Ellison’s astounding 692/720 70-meter qualifier score. Ellison has a total of four World Cup Finals titles, making him the most-decorated shooter in World Cup history.

For compound archers, Sara Lopez of Colombia also qualified for this years World Cup Final with her victory in the women’s class, while Mike Schloesser edged out Braden Gellenthien for the men’s compound title.
