South Carolina S3DA Hosts 3rd Indoor Regional Qualifier

Williamsburg, KY –Hunters Headquarters in Greenwood, South Carolina hosted the third South Carolina S3DA Indoor Regional of the 2021 competition season with archers from six teams competing. Hunters Headquarters is a sporting goods retailer specializing in hunting, fishing, and shooting sports, and the largest archery pro shop in upstate South Carolina. Archers came from across the state to compete for their chance to qualify for the upcoming South Carolina State Indoor competition and become the “Shooter of the Year” in their respective class and division.

Jon Noblezada, (parent of student archers from Palmetto Center Seekers) stated, “We are so grateful for all that S3DA does for our kids! This program provides a platform for my daughter Olivia to competitively put all her hard work and dedication to the test. The scholarship opportunities drive her to do her very best and she looks forward to college, where she has the possibility to shoot archery as well.”

As we head toward the end of Indoor competition, South Carolina S3DA continues growing membership. South Carolina S3DA State Coordinator, Sheila Tadlock says, “We continue to see new archers from the newest division in Jr. eagle to the largest division in young adult at every regional event. Our young adult archers have the opportunity to compete and earn archery scholarships and I personally would like to thank the universities and colleges that offer archery scholarships to our young adult division. Four of the top shooters within South Carolina S3DA are Seniors that are looking to continue their education and archery career.”

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3-D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA students participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Students can participate at local, regional, state, and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
