(Accokeek, MD) Team Beretta shooters brought home 19 individual podium honors at last week’s 2019 NSCA National Championship.

Team Beretta members in attendance at this national competition were Zachary Kienbaum, Joseph Fanizzi, Diane Sorantino, Desirae Edmunds, Dominic Gross, Anthony Matarese, and Meagan Harrington. Held at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, TX, this competition boasted approximately 2,175 entrants from across the United States and internationally.

Kienbaum, shooting with a Beretta DT11, swept the entire competition as the HOA National Champion for the second consecutive year with an impeccable performance in the main event. With a score of 290 targets out of 300, Kienbaum earned his second NSCA National Champion title with a 4 target lead over the runner-up, David Radulovich.

Additionally, Kienbaum won a third-place podium honor in the FITASC event with a score of 95 out of 100 targets.

He also secured a runner-up title in the White Flyer All-Around competition and an HOA title for the entire 2019 NSCA Championship Tour, with previous podium appearances made at the Western Regional, U.S. Open, North Central Regional, and World English Championship competitions.

Fanizzi, a junior team member who shoots with an A400 Xcel Sporting Black Edition, also achieved his second consecutive NSCA HOA Sub-Junior Champion title with a score of 274 out of 300 targets. He won three additional sub-junior champion podium honors in the K-Kup, 5-Stand, and White Flyer All-Around events with scores of 95/100, 95/100, and 646/700, respectively.

First debuted as a Team Beretta shooter at last year’s NSCA National Championship, Fanizzi has had an impressive year of podium wins at all of the competitions that he has appeared in throughout the entire shooting season, including two international sub-junior champion titles.

Sorantino, shooting‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌‌Beretta‌ ‌A400‌ ‌Xcel‌,‌ ‌attained a third-place podium honor (and a subsequent Veteran Lady Champion title) in the ladies main event with a score of 258 out of 300 targets. She also secured a lady veteran champion podium honor in the FITASC event with a score of 88/100 and a lady runner-up title in the Beretta Challenge event with a score of 93/100.

Edmunds, who shoots with a Beretta DT11 L, brought home a ladies runner-up title in the White Flyer All-Around event with a score of 593 out of 700 targets and a ladies third-place podium honor in the Beretta Challenge event with a score of 91 out of 100 targets. She also attained the Ladies HOA title for the 2019 NSCA Championship Tour with multiple podium appearances made at previous regional and international competitions throughout the season.

Gross, a junior team member, achieved two junior runner-up podium honors in the main and Beretta Challenge events with scores of 275/300 and 96/100, respectively. He also obtained a junior runner-up title in the White Flyer All-Around competition with a score of 633 targets out of 700.

Matarese achieved a third-place podium finish in the K-Kup event with a score of 96 out of 100 targets, after winning a shoot-off against 6 fellow competitors. He also won an additional third-place prize in the White Flyer All-Around competition with a score of 651 targets out of 700.

Harrington, who shoots with a Beretta 692, secured a junior lady podium honor in the main event with a score of 258 out of 300 targets. She also won a ladies champion podium honor in the White Flyer All-Around competition with a score of 596 out of 700 targets.

Next year, Harrington will be the first Team Beretta shooter to switch into the new Beretta 694 competition over-and-under shotgun, which has been specifically developed and tested with input from Team Beretta shooters.

The team will begin their competition schedule for the 2020 shooting season at the Gator Cup from February 11 to 16 at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee, FL.
