Nosler Shooters Place 1st and 2nd at Rock Lake’s NW Precision Rifle League Match

Bend, Ore –– Nosler®, a world leader in the production of bullets, cartridge cases, ammunition and firearms, celebrates top finishes by Nosler shooters Nick Gadarzi and Christopher Hodl at the Northwest Precision Rifle League Match held at the Rock Lake Rifle Range in Saint John, WA on July 25.

In a field of over 60 of the best precision rifle shooters in the Northwest, Gadarzi took 1st overall and Hodl placed 2nd using 105gr. and 115gr. Nosler RDF (Reduced Drag Factor) match bullets in 6mm. The 6mm RDF has become a popular choice among precision rifle shooters looking to successfully shoot distances that were once too far to consistently and accurately shoot.

“I’ve been shooting a 6mm Creedmoor with Nosler RDFs for over 3 years in competition and the performance of these bullets in the field is unmatched” said Hodl. “I’ve seen more impact hits since switching to RDFs and I’m always amazed at how well these bullets slice the wind at long distances.”

Introduced in 2016, the RDF bullet was designed from the ground up by Nosler’s world-class team of engineers with the goal of delivering exceptionally high BCs that result in the flattest trajectory and least wind drift possible. Several key design factors contribute to RDF’s game-changing performance. Nosler’s meticulously optimized compound ogive, which bridges traditional tangent and secant bullet shapes, is insensitive to seating depth, allowing handloaders to seat bullets with ease— a bonus for competitors loading hundreds of rounds. Also lending itself to the bullet’s sleek form factor is a long, drag reducing boattail, making the RDF optimal for long-range efficiency.

When compared side-by-side, shooters will notice a striking visual contrast between Nosler’s RDF and other industry match bullets, with a hollow point so small it’s nearly undetectable to the naked eye. The bullet’s tightly profiled design boasts a 40% average reduction in meplat size, completely eliminating the need to point and trim tips—a laborious step performed by match shooters in order to achieve increased ballistic efficiency and an edge over the competition.
