Halter Center Hosts USA National Junior Olympic Shotgun Championships

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center hosted the USA National Junior Olympic Skeet and Trap Championships from July 28 to July 31. Shooters under the age of 21 traveled to Hillsdale College to compete.

“Each year, I am more and more impressed by the young shooters who compete,” said Bart Spieth, range master at the Halter Center. “We are honored to host the Junior Olympic Shotgun Championships and so many talented shooters.”

Hillsdale College has been the home of the USA National Shooting Team since 2019. The Halter Center boasts 113 range acres, four international skeet fields, a 22-station sporting clays course, five international bunkers, two small arms ranges, international archery range, American trap ranges, and AcuSport Lodge.

About the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center

The Halter Center is a state-of-the-art shooting facility located five miles from the Hillsdale College campus. Opened in 2008, the Center aims to introduce individuals to shooting sports and encourage interest across all levels of experience.
