Gunsite Academy’s Lew Gosnell Featured In GUNS Magazine Podcast

To say Lew Gosnell has a wide range of gun-handling experience would be a vast understatement. Currently a Rangemaster at Gunsite Academy and 20-plus year police officer and firearms instructor in California, Lew has also served as a tactical team supervisor in the Marine Corps Military Police and worked private security. Additionally, he is a champion shooter in IPSC, 3-Gun and Cowboy Action — including the first-ever Single Action Shoot Society End of Trail competition.

In GUNS Magazine Podcast episode #39, “Cowboy Guns And Church Security,” Lew speaks with Host Brent T. Wheat on-location at Gunsite in Paulden, Ariz., and shares how he got his start at the renowned firearms training academy, what he teaches students in his single-action pistol, lever gun and church security classes and advice for congregations starting their own church security teams.

Sponsored by Kimber, GUNS Magazine Podcast debuted November 2019 and features one-on-one interviews with, according to Wheat, “the most interesting people who make up the world of shooting, hunting and the firearms community.” To date, 39 episodes have been published, including #38: “Is Knockdown Power Real?” with guests Tom McHale, executive editor of American Handgunner, and FMG Publications’ Publisher Roy Huntington.

Podcast episodes can be streamed on GUNSMagazine.com, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, YouTube and other major podcasts platforms.
