Williamsburg, KY – Gary and Kim Rigney founded Rigney’s School of Archery on faith and a dream. They work together to provide personalized attention to fit each archer’s needs. The club is currently active with the NFAA, ASA, and S3DA programs. Most recently, they held an indoor regional event for Illinois S3DA with archers from six clubs participating. Nine of those archers were competing in their first S3DA event.

One of the parents said, “From the moment I walked in the door; I could feel the energy and the archers rallying around each other. The show of camaraderie among the youth is something we should all inspire to have. Spectators and archers say they feel right at home every time they come to an archery shoot at Rigney’s School of Archery.”

A spectator said, “My kids have a fun time shooting with new friends from across the state. RSA builds confidence, independence, and a love for the sport of archery. Seeing kids of various ages coming together to compete like this is an amazing thing to watch.”

Trisha Johnson said, “This was our first event and we found it very well-organized. I was most impressed with the staff, the instructions provided, and the willingness of each participant to help each other out throughout the event. No matter the child’s skillset, each felt valued.”

“This was our first S3DA competition at Rigney’s School of Archery. The range was nice, and the staff was friendly and professional. Our twelve-year-old daughter, Morgan, really enjoys the competitions. Archery is a very positive sport, plus it is something you can turn into a lifelong family activity,” stated Laura Stephens.

Zoie Long is a Jr. Eagle that started shooting for Rigney’s School of Archery last year. Her grandmother said, “As a retired teacher, I have been to an enormous number of events. I am impressed with the discipline that the sport of archery provides. Besides archery skills, the youth are learning math skills, sportsmanship, and safety. In addition to all of that, participants are learning in a positive Christian environment. We love miss Kim and everything she does to educate these kids.”

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of youth archers.
