HIPERFIRE® Updates Its HIPERCOMP® Recoil Muzzle Compensators For Peak Performance. HIPERFIRE's 1st gen recoil compensators matched the performance of the best compensators money could buy for the AR15 in both .223/5.56 rifle and 9mm PCC configurations. These were known as HIPERCOMP 556C, 556CQ, and 9mm. But, customers clamored for that recoil reduction performance at a more attractive price. HIPERFIRE went to work. We reduced not only the size but also the pricing. First, the 5.56 and 9mm comps had to have the same form factor as the MIL Birdcage flash hider. Second, they all had to exceed the recoil reduction performance of the best-reviewed compensators that we could find and test. These goals required an optimal design that maximized propellant gas effects. The search for an optimal design usually entails hardware design iterations of trial and error that can be very expensive and time-consuming. HIPERFIRER took a different approach using Fluent computational fluid dynamics software from ANSYS to iterate faster and lower development costs. The computer simulation environment quickly produced good results. Our new comps are the HIPERCOMP 556 and 9mm Next Gen. And, we added a third, the HIPERCOMP 762 Next Gen for 7.62 NATO AR10 and 7.62 Russian AK rifles. No other recoil compensators perform better at reducing recoil.
