Magpul Expands AMAG Lineup to Include SIG P365 Pistols

Magpul’s has always focused on making great products at a great value, and we’re especially driven by magazine innovation. The recent addition of the AMAG line – a metal magazine specifically for firearms that dimensionally can’t accept polymer mags – is seeing a new platform covered with the launch of the first of four P365 AMAGs: the AMAG 17 SG9 for the P365, a 9mm, 17-round metal magazine with a host of upgrades, all without upping the price of what you’d expect a magazine like this to cost.

Externally, the magazine features a stainless-steel body, a flared floorplate that’s easily removable for cleaning and routine maintenance, and a paint-pen dot matrix for magazine marking. The spine of the magazine has capacity-indicator windows starting at five (5) rounds and continue along the back of the magazine in one (1)-round increments. With these external dimensions, shooters get a full-size grip feel while keeping the slim P365 compact in overall length. Internally, the AMAGs come standard with many of Magpul’s proven magazine upgrades, including a high-visibility, controlled-tilt follower, stainless-steel spring for longevity and durability.

Magpul also included grip extensions for the new magazine, so the new AMAG 17 can fit and function relaibly in X/XL and Standard/Micro grip lengths, plus a standard floor plate for the Macro, so this 17-round AMAG can be used comfortably in any variant of P365 pistol, ensuring a shooting experience in even the smallest P365 frame. This was accomplished by locking the extensions in place at the bottom of the grip via a lockplate (located between the follower and the floorplate) to minimize pinch points often caused by the typical “sleeve” style extensions, which can shift if not perfectly flush against the floorplate and the pistol’s grip.

Other variants of P365 AMAGs are coming soon, and include a 15, 12, and 10-round version, each with the same features, but with a different intended purpose.
